At the heart of South-East Asia, Thailand is where the new meets old. Despite being known for its tropical beaches, royal palaces and ancient ruins, poverty is also prevalent where around 11% of the country still lives under the poverty line and AIESEC Thailand strives to bring Global talents to the community and help improve their lives.

ENGLISH TEACHING

Without the same accessibility as other countries may have to English This project works with Sustainable Development Goal #4: Quality Education. It aims to provide cross-cultural education and English education for the youth in rural areas of Thailand. Through teaching English for 7-15 year old students, participants will create a cross-cultural learning environment and build close relations with the schools and the communities. The education children receiving in Thailand is also a major concern; studies have shown that only 38.1% of the population has at least secondary education.

Volunteer audiences: 7-18 year old students

Main activities

  • Create active English learning activities for students in rural area

  • Encourage cultural exchange activities in school/community

  • Attend Incoming Preparation Seminar, Global Village and other activities within the project

Host AIESEC office: AIESEC in Thammasat University

Dates: TBD

Work Hours:  8am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday

Accommodation provided: Host Families or Dorms,2-3 meals a day

Visa required:  Non- Immigrant type O

All programs are $550 including accommodation and transport to and from from the airport.
